Halo’s agents take on real work for real practices. Here is what they do, what they don’t, and where your team stays in charge.
These disclaimers apply to halohealth.app and are part of our Terms of Use. Your use of Halo’s products is governed by your customer agreement.
1. Clinical judgment stays with clinicians
Halo is not a medical provider and does not give medical advice, diagnose, or treat. Scribe drafts documentation, codes, and orders from the visit for a clinician to review. Clinicians are responsible for reviewing, editing, and signing every note and order, and for all clinical decisions.
2. AI can make mistakes
Our agents use artificial intelligence, which can mishear, misinterpret, or produce inaccurate output. We build in checks and human hand-offs, but practices should review AI-generated work before relying on it, especially anything that affects patient care, coding, or claims.
3. Billing, coding, and reimbursement
Billing checks coverage, suggests codes, and scrubs and follows up on claims. Payer decisions are outside our control. We do not guarantee that any claim will be paid, paid in full, or paid within any timeframe, and eligibility results depend on the information payers return. Practices remain responsible for the accuracy of the claims they submit and for compliance with payer rules and billing law.
4. Calls and emergencies
Receptionist is not an emergency service. It is configured to direct callers who describe an emergency to call 911 and to route urgent matters to the practice’s team, but it cannot assess emergencies or replace triage by a qualified person.
5. Results and examples
Metrics, time savings, revenue figures, and testimonials on the Site reflect the experience of specific practices or internal measurements, and individual results will vary. Patients, charts, calls, claims, and dollar amounts shown in our product demos and animations are fictional and for illustration only.
6. Compliance is shared
Halo supports HIPAA compliance by signing Business Associate Agreements and maintaining safeguards for patient information. Using Halo does not by itself make a practice compliant with HIPAA, state law, or payer requirements. Nothing on the Site is legal advice.
7. Third-party names and logos
Names and logos of EMR systems, payers, practices, and other companies on the Site belong to their respective owners. They are shown to identify integrations or customers. They do not imply endorsement, sponsorship, or partnership unless we say so.
